Wild Jamaican Quaco Bush (Mikania micrantha)
The common names are Quaco, Quaco bush, Quako, Bitter vine, Climbing hemp vine, Mile-a-minute as well as Gwaco. The medicinal properties are antimicrobial, astringent, antibacterial and antiseptic. One of the many uses of quaco leaves is that they are excellent for various types of skin rashes, including eczema. Eczema is a very common skin condition that affects thousands of children.
Usage: There is no "standard" amount to use for this herb. However using a small handful per 2 cups of tea is more than sufficient. Boil the water and then add the herb and allow it to steep for at least 20 minutes before drinking.
